All Signs
This week Mercury is at a standstill. On Wed. it moves into 11 degrees of Virgo and stays there until August 17. (It normally clips along at about two degrees a day.) Mercury is the winged messenger of words and ideas but Mercury is also the trickster. This means anything can happen this week! Although you will feel stalled in water, this is actually a useful time to look around and take stock. Look for things with a "re' in front: things that need to be redone, refinished, reorganized, refitted, repainted, reupholstered, recovered, rearranged, recycled or -- how you might rethink, revamp and reinvent your world? I am going to "rework" my bathroom scales so I weigh five pounds less. That's reinvention and relief! (I realize I will have to recant and reconsider to really relax.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This continues to be a playful, fun-loving time for you. Lucky Aries are off on vacation enjoying adventure and daring escapades. Some are at home tackling redecorating projects as well as entertaining friends and barbecuing on the deck. But no matter what you're doing, your job and your daily tasks will meet with minor obstacles and delays. You will have moments when you feel like you're slogging through quicksand. The minute one thing gets done, something else falls apart. You might feel this in a health-related way or something to do with a pet. The upside is you can identify what needs to be addressed so that your life flows more smoothly.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This week you have a wonderful opportunity to completely reassess anything related to home, family and real-estate dealings. You can calmly take a look at these areas and do a reality check. There's no need to rush forward. There is no need to make a decision. This is simply the perfect time to fill your databank and figure out what's best for you. Look around your world. Meanwhile, past issues regarding old flames, creative projects and your kids might start to percolate on the back burner. Right - the kids! How could you forget?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Of course, you are going to feel this stationary Mercury because Mercury is your ruler. It might feel frustrating for you because it won't be easy to check out a million things in a nano second. Ironically, this is a busy time for you with short trips, errands, increased reading and writing and talking to everyone! On the upside however, this is a great week to wrap up projects that have been on the go at home because they will flow smoothly. Meanwhile, you might boost your income this week - maybe. But you will certainly buy beautiful treasures for yourself and loved ones because you can't resist. "I couldn't resist!"
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The next two weeks are a great time to buy wardrobe goodies for yourself. You won't regret making the effort. In fact, you can probably get stuff on sale. Don't worry because you are focused on money and doing what you can to boost your earnings. Naturally, when the cash is flowing - some of it flows out as well. Money in - money out. On another note (high C) this is a good time to look at your immediate surroundings to see what needs to be done. What would your perfect world look like? Be ruthless. What needs to be done to make you love your daily surroundings as well as your connection with your daily contacts - including siblings? Think about this.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a strong time for you because both the Sun and Mars are in your sign pumping your energy and attracting positive situations to you. You're energized! Secret love affairs will be taking place for many. But when we take a look at Mercury, frozen at 11 degrees from Wed. until August 17 - this will make you look at your finances. It's time for a reality check. Figure out how much money is coming in on a regular basis. And also where does it go? Don't be vague. Write down actual numbers. Get a handle on your money scene so that you know what comes in every month and roughly what goes out. If you're lucky, what goes out is less than what comes in - although not always the case with Leos.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Of course, you will feel Mercury sitting at 11 degrees for nine days. Not only is Mercury your ruler, it will be sitting all that time in your sign! Oy! And then it will go retrograde in your sign. Oy again! Yes, you could say it's all about you. Actually, this is a wonderful opportunity to reflect and ponder your life. It's as if everything is in slow motion and you can see more clearly where you've been, where you are going, and where you are right now. This recognition and awareness might be a wake-up call. You might realize that this isn't the movie you want to be in. If so, you're lucky. The sooner you discover this, the better off you are. The fact is most of us go through life willy-nilly. The only reason we are at work on Wednesday, is because we were there on Tuesday.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This is a fortunate time for you. Lucky Jupiter is in your sign; and fair Venus is at the top of your chart. Both the Sun and Mars now feed your energy to interact with others (including groups) which combine to put you on top of your game. Totally! In addition, while Mercury sits at the same degree until the 17th (after which it goes retrograde) you have the benefit of being able to be super efficient with research or looking for answers and solutions. This stationary position of Mercury will actually help you! Yes, alphabetize your blessings! Enjoy your popularity. Enjoy the adoration of powerful people. Enjoy your ability to find answers when everyone else is running in circles.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This week continues to be a time with parents, bosses and important people notice you - and they admire you. You don't even have to do anything special to impress them. Since this is the case - now is the time to advance your cause and demand what you want. Be a tough negotiator for your own best interests. Mars will help you because Mars is at the top of your chart arousing your ambition. You will be a force to contend with! Meanwhile, travel for pleasure will delight. Old friends from the past are back in your world. This is a chance to talk about the bad old days and trade lies. Possibly, an old contact will have helpful information.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Continue to grab every opportunity to travel because this is what you want to do. You're keen to expand your world not only through travel but through further training and learning. Many of you will be involved in legal matters plus exploring avenues in publishing, the media and higher education. Expect to run into bosses from your past or teachers and VIPs you haven't seen for a while. This will also include parents if you have been out of touch. Whatever happens might benefit you financially because you have the upper hand when it comes to inheritances and shared property. In fact, it's a good week to go for a loan or a mortgage. "Gimme all ya got!"
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Life is quite intense for you right now. This might be because you are caught up in a dispute about inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt or insurance issues. If this is the case, the next few weeks are excellent to resolve these matters. Mercury retrograde will help you finish old business plus Venus opposite your sign enhances your negotiating skills making you charming, diplomatic and deadly, Dudley. Meanwhile, people from other countries or far away might be back in your life now. Or you might have to revisit old legal matters or medical problems. Some of you might also be involved with political issues from the past. (This stuff was all Greek to me until I talked to Smarticus.).
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You still need more sleep than usual - remember this. (Go to bed.) Unfortunately, this is also a stressful time for relations with close friends and partners. Basically you are annoyed with them. (That's because they are being annoying.) But there's no point in throwing fuel on the flame. Remember your objective: your objective is you want to be happy. Therefore if you bitch, complain or retaliate or criticize - you will not be happy. And they will be worse! The thing to know is that this situation is aggravated because Mars is opposite your sign and Mars will move on in September. You have to suck it up and be patient in August. It's that simple. But you can do this. Patience requires intelligence - and you are one of the smartest signs in the zodiac.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This week you have your foot in two camps - you want to play, have fun, explore the arts and enjoy romance and yet, you're ready to work hard, be productive and get things done. Impressive! This is not surprising because this is your time of harvest where you clearly see what is working in your life and what is not. (Get rid of what is not because your first loss is your cheapest loss.) Meanwhile, ex-partners and old friends you haven't seen for ages are back on the scene. This can give you an opportunity for closure or just a chance to reaffirm why you left that relationship in the first place. You were right. (Let's not get into the silk purse/pig's ear conundrum.)
