All Signs
Throughout the year, the Sun is in a different sign for about a month. Physically, the Sun governs the source of energy in our body; and psychologically, the Sun affects our psyche or libido. Each time the Sun is in a different sign, it "shines" in a different part of our chart, revealing where we can most easily express ourselves. As the Sun changes signs, it brings into focus different issues and people in our lives. (Verily, verily I say unto thee - this is a strong predictive tool!) This week the Sun moves into Pisces -- an energy that is imaginative, dreamy, visual, sensitive, seductive, alluring, shape shifting and confusing in its ability to deceive others and ourselves. Ah yes. A cod piece is not a piece of cod. And clones are people, two.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
As your birthday approaches, it means your year is coming to an end. This gives you four weeks to plan what you want your new year to be all about. Naturally, it will be different from last year because some planets are in different parts of your chart. For example, Mars is opposite your sign until August creating tension with partners and close friends. The only way to handle this is to practice patience and tolerance with others. Jupiter will continue to attract real-estate opportunities and improve things at home with family members. Use this contemplative month ahead and think about what you really want for your coming year.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
You're popular in the coming month. This is why your attention will turn to groups and clubs. Friendships will be a strong focus. You might examine the role friendships play in your life or you might be more involved with a friend. It's a good time to join forces and work with others because cooperation with others will benefit you. You can also use this time to establish who you are in your friendships. In addition, you will be more aware of your future goals and how to make your hopes and dreams a reality. You can combine this increased interaction with others with your goals by sharing your ideas with someone to get their feedback.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is the only time all year when the Sun is at the top of your chart. This means others notice you more than usual. This light is flattering, so they see you in positive terms, which is why you might be asked to take on increased responsibilities. If this happens, say yes because you won't have to do anything special to please everyone. Easy peasey. Many of you will deal with a parent more than usual. All of you will examine your life to see if you are going in the direction you want. This coming month is the perfect time to think about where you want to be five years from now and what you have to start to do this year to achieve your Five-Year plan.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You're a homebody. When you travel, it's for business or family reasons. However, this is the one time of year when even you want a change of scenery. Basically, you feel you want to expand your world through study or experiencing new and unfamiliar experiences. Travel is an obvious choice. However, you might take up a new hobby or sign up for a course - it could be anything. What is important is to break free from your everyday routine. This will satisfy your urge to be Agent 007. Some of you will be involved with the law or negotiate deals in publishing, the media, medicine and higher education. You want more out of life!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This month you will plumb the depths of your psyche more than usual. You will probe deeper feelings, emotions and passions. You might think about sex a lot; you might also be sexually aroused. All your feelings will be more intense. On a mundane note, you will have more to do with debt, taxes, shared property, inheritances, insurance matters and anything with what is jointly held, especially credit cards. Quite likely, you will attract someone to you who is strong and powerful. This person might provoke further self inquiry or force changes in your life. Your values might also be challenged. An interesting month indeed, eh wot?
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This is the only time all year when the Sun is as far away from you as it gets all year. Since the Sun is your source of energy, you will need more sleep. (Go to bed.) However, this also means you can learn more about yourself through partnerships and close friendships. You'll examine relationships to discover what needs they fill or do not fill. Naturally, you have to look at how you fill your partner's needs as well. For your own good, you must be as good for your partner as she or he is for you. This is one of those times when you should not go it alone. Work with others. Consult experts. Figure out why you want others in your life - or not. According to Stendhal, "One can acquire everything in solitude but character."
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You are affected by your surroundings. (Lighting, colours, smells and appearances.) Now that the holiday fuss is settled, you want to be organized and on top of your scene. This is why you will make a To-Do list and do what you can to get better organized -- repairs, file papers, put things in order, even paint, clean and redecorate. Once this is settled, you'll have a warm feeling in your tummy. Not only do you want to achieve better physical efficiency, you want to achieve better health as well. Therefore, many of you will establish new exercise regimes and scrutinize your diet. You want to live up to higher standards. Then after you reign supreme once again - you can party and socialize!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
It's going to be a party month for Scorpios! Accept invitations to schmooze. Enjoy sports events, plays, the theatre, movies, art openings, long lunches, entertaining dinners and playful times with children. If you work in a creative field, you will be especially productive. This is a wonderful time for a vacation, especially because you're keen to travel and expand your horizons. All your relationships will be more lighthearted and fun loving because you feel free-spirited. You have the courage to be yourself. As such, you will seek out relationships that allow you to do this. Think John McClane in Die Hard, "Come out to the coast. We'll get together - have a few laughs." (Ouch. My feet hurt.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This month your attention turns to home and family. You might be involved with a parent more than usual. You'll want to cocoon at home and relax among the familiar surroundings. Even though you love to travel (more than any other sign) it comforts you to know that you have a home base --someplace where worldly contacts can send cards, letters and invitations. You might be more involved with siblings, especially those you haven't seen for a while. Thoughts about your youth and early family members will bubble to the surface of your mind. This is an opportunity to get together and trade lies about the bad old days.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
In the coming month, short trips, errands, discussions with everyone, more time with siblings and relatives plus increased reading and writing will create a jam-packed schedule. You've got things to do, people to see and places to go! Please note: This is an excellent time to shop for wardrobe goodies because you like what you see in the mirror. You feel charming, diplomatic and especially sociable. Because of all this to-ing and fro-ing, you will have a fun opportunity to observe your style of daily communications with others. Enjoy this increased tempo. Share your ideas with everyone.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Money, cash flow, finances and possessions will be a strong focus in the coming month. You have a clear desire now to establish a greater control in your life through what you value and own. This is why some of you will make major purchases or shop for something that gives you a sense of power. However, it's also why at a psychological level, you will reflect upon your values and what it is that you think really matters in life. You will also scrutinize what you own and ask yourself if it serves any purpose. Do your belongings make your life easier? Or are they an albatross? Do you own your stuff or does it own you?
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This is the only time all year when the Sun is in your sign, recharging your batteries for the rest of the year. When the Sun is in your sign it means important people and favourable circumstances are easily attracted to you. Furthermore, it means that you can more easily project yourself out into the world. Obviously, this is a great time to make an impression on others. Lookin' good! Plus you have a strong need to express yourself and you should do so. In your birthday month, your first duty is to yourself. And if you don't fulfill that, you will be of little use to anyone.
