What Will 2019 Bring?
Last year I predicted "sexual secrets will continue, along with scandals about the media, universities, the church and foreign countries. (Russia springs to mind.)"
This year the big change for 2019 is the shift of Uranus into Taurus. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was from 1935 to 1942.
Uranus challenges rigid structures. It fights power and tyranny on behalf of the everyday person. Uranus is the energy behind unions, Green Peace and Amnesty International. Its rallying cry is "the greatest good for the greatest number!" Uranus represents technology, computers, the sky, aviation, air waves and the radio.
For the last seven years, Uranus was in fiery Aries. an independent "ME" sign. Consider how the "Selfie" society exploded in that time! Aries is also militant, hence the #metoo movement with its overnight groundswell.
But Uranus in Taurus will be very different: Taurus is tangible. It is Earth, the ground, the source of food. It is the sign of domesticated animals; and it rules money, wealth and banks. It is conservative. It values time-tested tradition.
New rules regarding banking will be introduced this year and in the next seven years. Revolutionary ideas will impact food production. There will be increased "sharing" of goods - shared housing, shared cars, shared gardens, shared jobs.
My advice is to protect what you have. Take care of what you own. Be financially prudent. Solidify your finances and get out of debt.
Meanwhile, for the first time in 12 years, lucky Jupiter will dazzle because it is back in its own sign! This will benefit travel, education, publishing, the media and give everyone increased hope! (Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent.)
Hello Taurus!
You ripe juicy peach! You are the most sensuous, tactile sign in the zodiac. (You've never really slept with someone until you've slept with a Taurus!) You are the county squire of the zodiac. You want mortgage-free land -- preferably acreage with lambs running on the north 40. You appreciate antiques, art, fine wood, pewter, silver and gold. You are the banker of the zodiac and can practically mint money in your own back yard. Many of you have marvelous singing voices and a resonant speaking voice, especially the men. (Many famous singers are Taurus.) You love your creature comforts and are a food gourmet and connoisseur of wines. My advice? Never eat more than you can lift.
A Backwards Glance
Certainly 1999 was a defining point for you because that was when many of you entered a fresh, new path in life. In fact, at the turn of the millennium, lucky Jupiter was in your sign bringing you opportunities and good fortune. Around 2002-04, you had a chance to expand your family or move to better digs or benefit through real estate. However, 2004-2006 was a roller coaster that brought residential moves and job changes. Around 2006-2008, many of you received an inheritance or benefited from the wealth and resources of someone else.
Opportunities to travel or get further education were plentiful in 2008-09. Following that, you looked mahvellous to others as Jupiter moved cross the top of your chart in 2009-2010. Your reputation was shining! "Look Ma, no hands!"
By 2012, lucky Jupiter was back in your sign making life easier and bringing you opportunities to bust your buns so that you could show the world what you could do. (Which you did!) You are a resourceful sign who knows know how to grab opportunities when they present themselves.
Increased earnings followed in 2013-14, which is when you finally started to get recognition for your past efforts. Around 2016, you enjoyed romance, vacations and opportunities to play. This was timely because by 2017, once again, you were busting your buns to improve your job or get a better job, and at the same time, improve your health. Last year in 2018, you had one of the best years to get married or form a new partnership.
What Will 2019 Be Like?
Money and Career
It's important to know that this year is a time of preparation because you are approaching a career peak in your life. This means you must do as much as possible because you are laying the groundwork for a future success for two different windows of time ahead: The first window is 2020-2022 (just one year away); and the second is further in the future around 2029-2030. That's why everything that you do this year matters! The more you accomplish this year, the greater foundation you will establish not only for future successes, but also to protect yourself against future adversities.
Nevertheless, you will still win recognition for your efforts this year because bosses and VIPs are impressed with your diligence. Ironically, the curious thing about this year is that although you will work had to be productive, it will be easy for you to gain accomplishments. This is because Saturn is in your fellow Earth sign giving you solid support. Whatever you do will tend to be successful. Take advantage of this favourable influence because Saturn will move to a new sign in early 2020.
This is also a good year to get training or further education so that you can enhance your skills and maximize the opportunities that present themselves to you in 2020-2021. Quite literally, the more you learn and the more you accomplish this year - the more it will bear fruit in 18 months. (I think you're getting the picture.)
Since 2012, you have been building toward what will arrive in 2020. This means this year is your final stage of preparation before you reach this time of harvest when all your efforts will bear their greatest fruit. ("Are all the animals in the Ark, Noah?") Because you are close to this peak, you might feel you have already "arrived". Caution! Do not close yourself off to new discoveries, new skills and new experiences that can strengthen your position. Be open to learning, especially in areas related to higher consciousness such as metaphysics, philosophy, religion or any discipline that helps you harness your energies so that you can function at your best.
One of your greatest advantages this year is that it will be easy to access the wealth and resources of others. "Show me the money!" For example, you will find it relatively easy to get a loan from a financial institution or a business mortgage. This is also a propitious year to do fundraising or to enter into a partnership where you need financial backing. It will be to your advantage to pool your resources in a business partnership because whatever you do now will lead to greater rewards in the long run. The bottom line is this is your year to improve your world as you prepare for a time of harvest that is right around the corner. "Ladies, start your engines."
Relationships
This is an excellent year for relationships! Last year was a great year to get married. This year relationships others will be supportive and helpful to you. They will improve your position financially and in practical terms, because your partner will earn more money or have increased wealth through bonuses, which indirectly benefit you.
In addition, your interactions with partners and close friends will be enriching and rewarding, not just in practical ways, but also in ways that edify and inspire you. You can learn from others this year. You might even learn something profound and meaningful. If you have recently been through any kind of psychological stress, this year will be a healing time for you.
People will also be helpful to you in practical terms this year. If you have to move, they will help you move. If you go on a vacation, they will let you use their cabin or their condo. People will lend you things or give you gifts and practical support. Naturally, much of this will be based on your past relations with these people because let's face it, what goes around comes around. Do not hesitate to accept this generosity, because - based on the premise of "what goes around, comes around" - by accepting their generosity, you are letting them plant the seeds for their own good future. Home and Family
This year your personal life will run more smoothly. It might surprise you how whatever you do tends to turn out well. You don't have to put too much effort into something to get great results. Because so much of what you do this year is virtually building for the future - this is a good time to put energy into your home by fixing repairs or building your home so that it is solid and secure. In the same way that you are laying the groundwork for future success in your career - you're also laying the groundwork for a solid home. Please note this is a great year to get a home mortgage or loan to build, renovate or repair your home.
This same "theme" applies to your personal health as well. Whatever you do this year to get in better shape or become stronger will have a long-term benefit in the future. Specifically those of you who are born during May 9-18 can really become stronger this year! All of you will have a sense of having survived heavy challenges. Now your rewards are coming to you on a silver platter! You can heal yourself and throw off illness. Take up any beneficial activity that promotes better health, especially something like yoga.
Many of you will receive an inheritance this year because you will benefit from the wealth and resources of others, and within the family, you will receive gifts, loans and favours from relatives or immediate family members. You might also learn something important from an older family member. Someone might teach you a skill or train you to take over a business or to do an apprenticeship in some way. 2019 Monthly Highlights
January
Every year you work hard in the holidays because you value family get-togethers but also because you serve a good table! (Oh yes, everyone wants an invitation to one of your dinners!) This means that in January, you need to get outta town. You want to escape somewhere with white sands and turquoise waters where attractive servers bring you tall drinks with little pink parasols in them. You deserve to be pampered in style! Therefore, grab every chance to travel this month to explore more of the world. Sign up for a course or take some further education or training because you're eager to expand your mind. Fortunately, because money is coming to you from other sources, including your partner, you will have the wherewithal to pull this off! (Book that flight if you haven't already done so.)
February
Everyone is impressed with you this month, especially parents, bosses and VIPs because this is the only month of the year when the Sun is at high noon in your chart. What this symbolizes is that you are in a flattering "spotlight." This means that you look wonderful to others, even if you don't do anything special. (You can take this to the bank!) Mercury is also high in your chart, which means this is a good time to make career plans and undertake new studies that will help your career or your life direction in general. It's an excellent time to talk to superiors, bosses and employers. Communications on the job will be more important than usual. Meanwhile, Venus continues to entice you to travel for pleasure. Venus might also attract romance with someone from another culture or someone who is "different." (Different can be exciting!)
March
Enjoy increased popularity this month. Make an effort to see friends and renew contacts as well as join clubs, groups, associations and classes so that you can interact with like-minded individuals. It's an excellent time to share your hopes and dreams for the future with someone to get their feedback. Expect to be involved with younger people more than usual. You will have lots of energy to do this because fiery Mars is in your sign this month giving you more vim and vigour. (As well as extra sexual energy!) This could be timely because fair Venus is at the top of your chart smoothing your relations with important people and possibly, encouraging a flirtation or a budding romance with someone in a position of authority. (A rich partner is a labour-saving device.)
April
Because your birthday looms ahead, this means your personal year is coming to an end. This also means now is the fitting time to set aside time to think about what you want to achieve in your new year from birthday to birthday. Define some goals. Be specific, especially about deadlines. Goals give you a sense of purpose and a sense of direction and they clarify your decision-making process. Sit down with a nice Merlot and ponder your future. This is especially important this year because in 2021-2022, you will achieve your time of harvest, which occurs only once every 30 years! This is when the seeds that you were planting will come to fruition. It's a wonderful time of achievement! Plus, this year the support from others that you need is there for you. This is a busy, fast-paced month! Your schedule is full of short trips, appointments, errands, plus conversations with siblings, relatives and neighbours. Many of you will study more than usual or do more reading and writing. Some of this could be related to some kind of planning that is taking place because there is increased chaos and activity on the home front. Many of you are starting to tackle home repairs or renovations. Meanwhile, on a more personal note, look around you because you have the ability to appreciate your surroundings more than usual. You will see how fortunate you are! You will also see how much love there is in your daily world.
August
This is a great month for intellectual activities and discussions. You're on the go with short trips, errands and busy conversations. Nevertheless, your main focus is on home and family. Many of you are keen to redecorate and make where you live look more attractive. You will buy something beautiful for your home. Relations with family members will be warm, but they will also be combative because people are opinionated! Furthermore, this intense chaos and activity continues to play out at home perhaps due to renovations, visiting guests or residential moves. But you will cope. It's what you do.
September
Even though others getting ready to go back to school, you are getting ready to party! This is the perfect month for a vacation! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get out and have fun! This month you feel playful, lighter than usual and ready for action! You want the freedom to express yourself in any way that you want. Relationships will be fun and of course, romance will blossom. You want to use your mind for amusement - reading, writing and playing games that require mental agility. All creative activities will be favoured. This is an intense month because you're wearing many hats and juggling many plates! For starters, you feel serious about issues, especially financial matters like inheritances, taxes, insurance issues and shared property. You want things clearly defined. Fortunately, with the placement of lucky Jupiter in one of your Money Houses this year, all your discussions about shared property will benefit you. Nevertheless, with Mars opposite your sign, you are easily annoyed with others, which means you have to practice patience and demonstrate grace while dealing with frustrating situations. However, you are in a good position to negotiate - remember this. Legal conflicts will also benefit you this month. It's also a great time to travel for pleasure if you can slip away.

A Peek Beyond 2019
Without question, the window of time from 2020 to 2023 will be an important life peak for you. This is your time of harvest when the seeds you have been planting for the last several decades will come to fruition. For many, this will be the time when your cherished dreams will come true.
In 2021, lucky Jupiter will travel across the top of your chart boosting your reputation in the eyes of others. In 2023, lucky moneybags Jupiter will enter your sign (for the first time since 2012) bringing you increased blessings and general good fortune as well as creating circumstances whereby you will have increased poise and confidence at the end of that year. IN 2024 - you will get richer!
In 2026, you enter a three-year window where you will start to downsize and let go of what is no longer relevant in your life. It's a time of letting go and saying goodbye to people, places and possessions because you are moving into a new world in 2029.

Mercury Retrograde in 2019
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. These errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- All forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- The mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- Communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- It also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." (They certainly have trouble going forwards!) Expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be delayed or lost. Daily items like keys and papers will be misplaced. Communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. People from our past will pop up into our lives.

However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
