What Will 2019 Bring?
Last year I predicted "sexual secrets will continue, along with scandals about the media, universities, the church and foreign countries. (Russia springs to mind.)"
This year the big change for 2019 is the shift of Uranus into Taurus. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was from 1935 to 1942.
Uranus challenges rigid structures. It fights power and tyranny on behalf of the everyday person. Uranus is the energy behind unions, Green Peace and Amnesty International. Its rallying cry is "the greatest good for the greatest number!" Uranus represents technology, computers, the sky, aviation, air waves and the radio.
For the last seven years, Uranus was in fiery Aries. an independent "ME" sign. Consider how the "Selfie" society exploded in that time! Aries is also militant, hence the #metoo movement with its overnight groundswell.
But Uranus in Taurus will be very different: Taurus is tangible. It is Earth, the ground, the source of food. It is the sign of domesticated animals; and it rules money, wealth and banks. It is conservative. It values time-tested tradition.
New rules regarding banking will be introduced this year and in the next seven years. Revolutionary ideas will impact food production. There will be increased "sharing" of goods - shared housing, shared cars, shared gardens, shared jobs.
My advice is to protect what you have. Take care of what you own. Be financially prudent. Solidify your finances and get out of debt.
Meanwhile, for the first time in 12 years, lucky Jupiter will dazzle because it is back in its own sign! This will benefit travel, education, publishing, the media and give everyone increased hope! (Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent.)
Hello Pisces!
You're a shape shifter - elusive and hard to pin down. You are kind, compassionate, and you have an incredible imagination that supports a fine intelligence. (Think Einstein!) You weep easily because Pisces rules the lachrymose glands, which are your tear ducts. (Can you get your Kleenex wholesale?) You can be euphoric and suicidal all before noon. A Backwards Glance
The year 1994 was a major beginning when you set out on a new path to redefine who you were. (A process that took until 2001.) By 1995, you made a name for yourself because your peers admired you. You might have received a promotion because you dazzled bosses. The year 1996 was popular but it was in 1998, when you really hit your stride because lucky Jupiter returned to your sign for the first time in over a decade. This meant that life flowed more easily and good fortune came your way. By contrast, from 1999 until 2001, life was a roller coaster with job changes and residential moves. By 2001, many of you moved to bigger and better digs or were committed to making improvements to your home. Around 2001-02, many of you expanded your family as well.
Your health and your job improved in 2003, and by 2004, you felt confident in your partnerships. However, you also entered a two-year window that year where children became an increased responsibility in your life. You benefited from the wealth and resources of others in 2005, and by 2006, many of you travelled more or went back to school or took further training.
Once again, Jupiter was at the top of your chart in 2007 making you shine in the eyes of your peers and bosses! Meanwhile, back in the salt mines, you were working hard and busting your buns. This eventually paid off because by 2009, you began to get recognition for your efforts. However, this was also a time when relationships were challenging! Some of them ended at that time; however, those that persevered, ultimately became stronger.
By 2011, you had to get along with less. You were forced to stand on your own two feet because money and support from others was diminished or withdrawn. In 2013, you did something to improve and expand your home scene; and you improved your job around 2015. Finally, in 2016, you reached a time of harvest. This was the beginning of a career peak for you - (we're talking about a 30-year cycle) when all the seeds you planted since 2001 began to come to fruition. This is when you could see where your successes and failures were. In 2017, you might have benefited from inheritances or the wealth of others. That was also a good time to get a loan or mortgage.
The year 2018 brought great excitement because many of you encountered travel opportunities and got a chance to explore the world. This was also a great year to explore new avenues in publishing, the media, medicine, the law and anything to do with further schooling or higher education.
What Will 2019 Be Like?
Money and Career
This is a fantastic year for your career because lucky Jupiter is at the top of your chart making you look fabulous in the eyes of bosses, parents and VIPs. This is one of the best times in over a decade for you, which is why you will try hard to move ahead in your profession, your career or anything to do with your social status and your reputation. People will admire you this year, even if you don't do anything special. You will look affluent in the eyes of others - and certainly successful. (It's all smoke and mirrors, which is something you can understand.)
This is why you can expect a promotion at work, public recognition plus the respect and admiration from your peers. As a result of this, you will feel more confident, and this year will be one of the few times in your life when you are really in touch with what you can do. Very rewarding!
Many of you will be involved in work-related travel much more than usual. Whatever happens in your career, one thing is certain: your experience of the world will expand and you will be in touch with people who are different - people who have something to teach you! This is not to be taken lightly because the next time this happens for you will be 2031. (Oh yes, gather ye rosebuds while ye may.)
At a more subtle level, one of your goals this year will be to integrate your individual self with some kind of group expression. While you are involved with a group and required to cooperate in team efforts with coworkers, it is vital that you do not lose your own individuality. You must maintain your integrity and at the same time, go with the flow working with others. This is a subtle dance - but hey, who dances better than you?
This year your hopes and dreams for the future will begin to materialize. Those of you who prepared well will reap the rewards because after all, luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
There will be many opportunities for you to achieve great things this year! For starters, you will strengthen certain areas of your life so that they will be able to withstand challenges in the future. But you will have to work for this and reach out and grab it - it will not be handed to you on a platter. Part of why you will be able to do this successfully is that authority figures admire you and are willing to support your requests.

It's easy for you to be persevering and hard-working this year, and these qualities ar what will attract someone to you because it implies that their own future security will benefit as well. Home and Family
Like all the other major categories in your life, your home and family will benefit hugely from your success and all the good things that are coming to fruition in your life at this time. For starters, many of you will be making more money, which allows you to have a richer private life.

However, do be aware that something in the immediate future is hovering that might impact your home and family and it is this: In about a year, you will to start to downsize by going through closets, cupboards, garages and storage lockers to get rid of what you no longer need. January
You are popular this month! Everyone wants you on their team. This is a good time to examine the role that friendships play in your life. You will notice that your interactions with others benefit you. This is your month to howl! With the Sun in your sign, you have a chance to regenerate and rejuvenate yourself for the rest of the year. You will attract people and favourable situations to you. Mercury in your sign makes you talkative and eager to interact with others because you want to enlighten people. Some of you might have enhanced a relationship with a boss last month because this month secret love affairs are thriving! (You know who you are.) It's all about money this month. Earnings. Cash flow. "Bucks in jeans." You will do everything within your power to boost your earnings and perhaps make a little money on the side. (Having said that, I must mention this is an excellent month to buy wardrobe items for yourself - including shoes and boots.) Be patient with family members and relatives at home if tension arises due to renovations, visiting guests or other stresses.

This is a fast-paced month! You have things to do, places to go and people to see! It's a great time for those of you in sales, marketing, teaching, acting or writing. You will enjoy taking short trips. You will enjoy talking to siblings and relatives. Tension and increased activity on the home front is still in place but this will soon be relieved and in fact, diminished. Meanwhile, you will attract money to you this month and will probably spend money on beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. And let us not forget, lucky Jupiter is still at the top of your chart boosting your reputation in the eyes of everyone! "We love you!"

Home, family and your private life are your primary focus this month. This is why many of you will want to take time to cocoon at home and relax among familiar surroundings. A Peek Beyond 2019

Mercury Retrograde in 2019
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. These errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- All forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- The mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- Communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- It also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." (They certainly have trouble going forwards!) Expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be delayed or lost. Daily items like keys and papers will be misplaced. Communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. People from our past will pop up into our lives.

However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
