What Will 2019 Bring?
Last year I predicted "sexual secrets will continue, along with scandals about the media, universities, the church and foreign countries. (Russia springs to mind.)"
This year the big change for 2019 is the shift of Uranus into Taurus. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was from 1935 to 1942.
Uranus challenges rigid structures. It fights power and tyranny on behalf of the everyday person. Uranus is the energy behind unions, Green Peace and Amnesty International. Its rallying cry is "the greatest good for the greatest number!" Uranus represents technology, computers, the sky, aviation, air waves and the radio.
For the last seven years, Uranus was in fiery Aries. an independent "ME" sign. Consider how the "Selfie" society exploded in that time! Aries is also militant, hence the #metoo movement with its overnight groundswell.
But Uranus in Taurus will be very different: Taurus is tangible. It is Earth, the ground, the source of food. It is the sign of domesticated animals; and it rules money, wealth and banks. It is conservative. It values time-tested tradition.
New rules regarding banking will be introduced this year and in the next seven years. Revolutionary ideas will impact food production. There will be increased "sharing" of goods - shared housing, shared cars, shared gardens, shared jobs.
My advice is to protect what you have. Take care of what you own. Be financially prudent. Solidify your finances and get out of debt.
Meanwhile, for the first time in 12 years, lucky Jupiter will dazzle because it is back in its own sign! This will benefit travel, education, publishing, the media and give everyone increased hope! (Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent.)

You are direct, strong and you're no pushover! You love a challenge, especially car racing or verbal jousting. You need to win because you late to lose. This is why you have the first (and the last) word. You will try anything once. You're amazing with your hands, which is why you are the artisan of the zodiac. You rescue animals and love kittens and puppies. You're heroic! You're competitive! Your love of exploring uncharted territory makes you a pioneer par excellence. If it's out there - you'll find it!
A Backwards Glance
In the mid-90s, you gave up people, places and possessions, in part because you had the travel bug and wanted to explore the world. Fortunately, something good came along because you soon made a name for yourself. By 1997, you set off on a new path; however, shortly after the beginning of the millennium, job changes and residential moves kept you on your toes. Many of you improved your living scene and might have even expanded your family. (Give or take a year.)
By 2010, you were busting your buns getting ready to show the world would you could do! In 2011, you got your break when lucky Jupiter was in your sign. Shortly afterwards, you started to earn more money. (Bucks in jeans is what we like!)
By 2014-2015, you had opportunities to explore real-estate deals or improve where you lived. By 2016-17, your job scene looked better as well as your health. (Nicely done.) Partnerships looked good in 2017-18. In fact, this was a great time to get married or hook up with someone. This is always a quandary for you because part of you likes the support and security of marriage - but the other part hates being tied down. "Hey, I've got wings and I need to fly!" Relax. You are loved. You can fly and then come home for dinner.
So Here We Are
So here we are. Strutting across that line with 2018 behind us, as we are about to step into 2019. It's time for a reality check! In the bigger picture, and by that I am referring to a 30-year window, this is a time of harvest for you. All the seeds you have planted since 2003, and certainly since 2010, are now ripening. Some of this will be good news, some of it - not so much. Do not dwell on your failures. Instead, focus on what is working. The reason you have to focus on the positive is you are heading into a spectacular year! Would I kid you? Actually, yes I would -- but not about this.
What Will 2019 Be Like?
Money and Career
Some years, we tread water and put in time. They're filler years. Other years are fresh starts and exciting beginnings. Always memorable. This year is not like a year that was dramatic but neither is it like a year that was a filler year. This year is your time of harvest and your time of harvest occurs once every 30 years. For some, this began last year; for all of you, it is now in full swing!.
As you might guess from the term harvest, this is the time when all the seeds you have planted in the past come to fruition. They will either ripen or they will die. Where you planted well, you will reap benefits. The consequences of your preparations will be evident. You will see what is working in your life and what is not. Do not think you are standing off in the wings watching what is taking place. Oh no. This year you are an active agent of your future!
This year you will have to be ruthless and get rid of what is no longer working. Drop it. Don't waste time thinking about failure. Move on. Now is the time to focus on what IS working and go with that. This is a year of immense responsibilities and your hands are full. It is fortunate that you are a natural leader because this is the role you need to play this year. Do not hold back!
It's important for you to know that this year brings you one of your greatest opportunities to make an impression on the world as an individual. You will be admired for who you are as a person. That's why this can be one of the most rewarding times of your life -- but you will have to hold the reins in both hands and stay firmly in charge.
Meanwhile, fabulous opportunities to travel and explore other countries and different cultures await you this year. If you are thinking of taking a trip - now is the time to do it. Act on this desire! Make plans. Book a reservation. Alternatively, you might choose to expand your world in a different way by getting further education or training because this is the best year in over a decade to enjoy going back to school or continuing school, or taking courses or doing anything that expands your knowledge.
Certain careers offer wonderful opportunities. In particular, look for ways to explore new avenues in publishing and the media. Many will make advancements in medicine or the law. Not only publishing but also anything to do with the world of academia and higher education will bring coveted opportunities your way.
Because of the maturing aspect of this time of harvest, you will also release and let go of limiting prejudices and beliefs that stifle your world. It will be easy to do this because the thrust of this year is to expand your awareness. You will become wiser and cultivate more poise, which is a lovely blessing.

Relationships
This is a powerful year in your life because it's a time when your cherished dreams are coming true. For example, it might be a graduation, a hoped-for marriage or birth, perhaps establishing your independence or receiving special kudos, promotions, awards or the admirations of others. However, beware. Because you are so focused on your career, and enjoying success and a delightful boost to your reputation, it might come at the expense of your closest relationships. Do not do this - no matter how tempting it is to fall into this trap.

Because this year some of your cherished dreams are coming true, plus you have increased responsibilities and so much to do - you will have less time and energy to focus on home and family. This is not ideal; and this is your challenge! Every day has 24 hours.
You will be empowered by a promotion, an opportunity to work independently or perhaps a graduation or marriage - these are all things that lead to an ability to have more money, resources and support from others that can help you focus on your home.
As your status and prestige in life increase, this will be reflected in your personal and home life as well. One example would be if you get a promotion and are enjoying professional success, you will have more money to invest in your home and to entertain at home.
It is possible that you might become more involved with a parent more than usual or possibly, you might have to take on the responsibilities for a parent or an older relative.
Not only might your career success rob your focus on your personal life, but there will be a strong recognition of you as an individual this year - recognition of your personal achievements and your personal success. January

Your ruler Mars is still in your sign increasing your energy, making your life active! You're ready to work hard to further your own interests because you know this is your chance to show the world what you can do. You are much more of a fighter for your own rights than usual. Your physical energy is high. Meanwhile, this is your most popular month of the year! Everyone wants you to be on their team. Expect to interact with younger people more than usual. You continue to impress bosses; in fact, some of you might have a flirtation or a romantic relationship with someone in authority. Take note that this is an excellent month to set goals. As your birthday looms ahead, you see that your personal year is coming to an end. Use this one-month window to set goals. April
This is your birthday month! This means the Sun is in your sign pumping your energy and giving you a chance to replenish and rejuvenate yourself for the coming year. A Peek Beyond 2019
The year 2020 is the year you've been waiting for for over a decade and in some ways, several decades. To put it mildly, this is your year to put your name up in lights! Whatever you do, you will look fabulous in the eyes of others! Expect a promotion, kudos, awards, applause, scholarships, or anything that raises your esteem in the eyes of your peers. Naturally, you will feel confident. This year you can advance your profession, career or social standing in your community. (Looking swsell!)
The year 2021 is super popular and by 2023, you are blessed because lucky Jupiter is in Aries. You wanted more? This means it's a fortunate year for you and life flows easily. Nevertheless, at this time, you will begin to downsize and let go of whatever you no longer need. You will want to streamline your life.

Mercury Retrograde in 2019
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. These errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- All forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- The mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- Communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- It also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." (They certainly have trouble going forwards!) Expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be delayed or lost. Daily items like keys and papers will be misplaced. Communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. People from our past will pop up into our lives.

However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
